Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to drink water for my ultrasound
It is VERY IMPORTANT to drink plenty of water the entire week leading up to your appointment. This means drinking 8 glasses of water a day, for an entire week prior to your appointment. This will increase your chances of getting clearer and excellent 3D/4D/HD Live images. It will not be of any help to drink a lot of water the night before or the morning of your 3D ultrasound.
do i have to have a full bladder for my ultrasound?
I recommend having somewhat of a full bladder if you are coming in between 14 and 20 weeks for a gender reveal. This sometimes helps in moving the baby out of your pelvis and allows us to get in between the baby's legs. Drink 20 ounces of water 30 minutes before exam and DO NOT use the restroom.
If you are over 20 weeks, you do not need a full bladder.
If you are over 20 weeks, you do not need a full bladder.
How to prepare for ultrasound right before appointment?
We recommend having something sweet before coming in. It can be a small juice or a sweet snack. This will wake up the baby and be more active during the ultrasound.
do i need an appointment?
Yes! We take our time with every client, so we work by appointment only. We can sometimes schedule same day appointments. If you have any questions, please feel free to call, text, or email us.
What if i cannot see my baby's face on any 3D pictures
We will always try our best to get excellent pictures of your baby. If we are unable to get any pictures of the baby's face, you will come back for free! Second ultrasound would have to be completed with 2 weeks of the first one and scheduled on a weekday (Monday-Friday). Normally, due to position or lack of fluid around the baby's face is the reason why we would not be able to get adequate pictures of the baby's face. This is why it is VERY IMPORTANT to drink 8 glasses of water the entire week leading up to your appointment. It will not be of any help to drink a lot of water the day of your appointment.
is 2D/3D/4D/HD Live ultrasound safe?
Absolutely! Ultrasound uses sound waves to produce a picture on the screen. It is not an x-ray in anyway.
Does 3D ultrasound take place of the ultrasound at my doctor's office?
NO! 3D ultrasound is just for entertainment. 3D is so you and your family can see your baby in between doctor's appointments. It is very important that you get prenatal care from your doctor. We do offer affordable medical diagnostic ultrasounds to patients who do not have insurance, have a high deductible, or wants a Five-Star experience during their diagnostic ultrasound. Diagnostic ultrasounds include an official radiology reading and start at $185. Please contact us directly with questions or to schedule.
Is this covered by insurance?
Unfortunately, 3D is not covered by insurance because it is not medically necessary. We accept cash, debit, zelle, cash app, apple pay, and any major credit cards.
100 % money back gender guarantee if Gender is ever wrong
Peek A Boo Ultrasound takes gender reveals very seriously. We will never tell you the gender of your baby if we truly have any doubt what the gender of the baby is. There are certain factors that can affect visualizing the gender of the baby clearly: baby's development, the mother's body type/size, and baby's position. For this reason, we encourage gender reveals to be done mid or late 15 weeks pregnant. If we were to ever make a mistake, we guarantee our work 100 percent! We would invite you back for a re-scan. If indeed you were told the wrong gender, we will refund you the price of the gender reveal ultrasound.
